Admissions to AUS’s doctoral degrees is competitive.We accept applications on a rolling basis, throughout the year.SPU offers a "strong Business program with special focus on ethics and integrity in business," and also has "a great Pre-Med program, with an impressive percentage of students who get into med school." Additionally, SPU's Education program has a "reputation in the community for producing high-quality teachers" and is "the only local school with a bachelor's degree in Special Education." Students report that there are "lots of opportunities to get involved in on-campus or off-campus volunteer work or ministry/leadership.

The admission process is not a simple mathematical equation.

Seattle Pacific University uses the Common Application, and the admissions folks will be looking for a strong application essay, meaningful extracurricular activities, and positive letters of recommendation (letters are optional, but they can certainly work to your advantage).

The Admissions Committee endeavors to identify strong candidates for the program and to support them to become students.

An applicant that is qualified, but applies after the program is full for the quarter, will be deferred to the next quarter. Please refer to the program pages for specific admissions requirements.

We recommend that you apply at the beginning of the priority enrollment period in order to assure a spot in the quarter for which you are applying.Some students who seemed to be on target for Seattle Pacific University did not get in, while other students who had grades and test scores below the norm were admitted.These seeming inconsistencies can be attributed to Seattle Pacific's holistic admissions policy.Most had SAT scores (RW M) of 1000 or higher, an ACT composite of 20 or higher, and a high school average of a "B " or better.Grades and test scores above these lower ranges will improve your chances of receiving an acceptance letter.The density of blue and green dots at the top of the graph tells us that a significant percentage of admitted students had solid "A" averages in high schools.On the right side and bottom of the graph, you'll notice that the green and blue dots overlap with the red dots (rejected students) and yellow dots (waitlisted students).The Admissions Committee endeavors to identify strong candidates for the program and to support them to become students.
